CREATIVity | HUMANITY | IMPACT
CHROMATIC Festival is an annual celebration of creativity, critical thinking, culture, and student life across the School of Humanities, Creative Industries and Social Science at the University of Newcastle.
CHROMATIC Festival’s focal point is a Grad Showcase of the practice and outcomes of graduating students across design, communication, media, liberal arts, music, and performance.
CHROMATIC 2023 will activate the University of Newcastle City Campus and various satellite venues from Wednesday the 1st of November – to Sunday the 5th with a running nightline program coinciding with an extended and experimental showcase.
We invite students, friends, family, industry partners and the community to participate in a showcase and celebration of creativity, critical thinking, culture, and student life.

Chromatic Festival and The University of Newcastle acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: Awabakal Nation, Darkinjung Nation, Biripai Nation, Worimi Nation, Wonnarua Nation and Eora Nation. We also pay respect to the wisdom of our Elders past and present.
Chromatic Festival and The University of Newcastle recognise that First Nations sovereignty was never ceded. This continent always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
We respect their cultural heritage, beliefs, and continuing relationship with the land, and recognise that they are the proud survivors of more than two hundred years of dispossession.
